Braxton has driven innovation and growth in senior management roles with technology and media companies, most recently as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Tandberg Television (an Ericsson Company) where he led the rapid expansion of the company into the North American television market and video on demand (VOD) software business.
Braxton has driven innovation and growth in senior management roles with technology and media companies, most recently as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Tandberg Television (an Ericsson Company) where he led the rapid expansion of the company into the North American television market and video on demand (VOD) software business. There he launched and secured key customers for Tandberg’s pioneering television distribution, management and advertising products, contributing to the acquisition of Tandberg by Ericsson for $1.2 billion in 2007. 

Braxton joined Tandberg through their $120 million acquisition of venture-backed startup N2 Broadband, where he drove key deployments of the company’s on demand software in nearly every VOD site in North America. Previously, Braxton worked at Cox as Director of Product Strategy for the cable division and GM in the interactive media division, where he launched the first broadband internet content service in partnership with @Home. Braxton’s first tech startup experience was as the head of commercial services with Primenet, an internet startup purchased by GlobalCenter. Braxton received his Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Dartmouth College.

Bob Van Orden

VP Corporate and Business Development

Bob joins the Clearleap team with more than 18 years of experience in the digital and IP video and IP networking industries. He served as VP of Product Strategy and Development at Scientific-Atlanta, General Manager of IPTV middleware at Cisco, and more recently as Marketing and Business Development Consultant at Naarden Innovations.
Bob joins the Clearleap team with more than 18 years of experience in the digital and IP video and IP networking industries. He served as VP of Product Strategy and Development at Scientific-Atlanta, General Manager of IPTV middleware at Cisco, and more recently as Marketing and Business Development Consultant at Naarden Innovations. During his tenure at Scientific-Atlanta, Bob led the business and product team responsible for the launch of both the Digital Set-Top Box and the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) product lines, the company’s two most successful products. At S-A and Cisco, this same team also introduced an HTML-based TV navigator, IPTV middleware, video system control software, conditional access and DRM, multi-room DVR, video on demand, ‘walled garden’ and internet-on-TV applications. At Cisco, he also worked in the IT security business. 

Throughout his career, Bob has been involved in launching complex technology products and businesses from concept to revenue generation to end of life. He also has extensive experience interacting directly with customers and partners in the U.S. and around the world. Bob earned his MBA from Northwestern and a BA in Economics and History from Emory University.

Bob Stankosh joins Clearleap with over 20 years of sales experience in the cable, IT and new media industries. Most recently, he was the VP of Sales, North America at Imagine Communications where he was responsible for North American Cable, Telco and Satellite sales of encoding and transcoding hardware and software. Before that, he was regional VP of sales at Xavient Information Systems, an IT consulting firm. Previously, Stankosh was regional VP of sales for BigBand Networks, Inc.

While at Scientific Atlanta, Stankosh was involved in leading the launches of many of the first digital video systems in the country. Stankosh earned an MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and has a BA in Biology from Rutgers.

Dave Mowrey

VP of Product Management

With over 15 years of 3-screen product development experience, Dave is responsible for managing and driving product growth at Clearleap. Most recently, he was Director of Media Solutions for Yahoo! where he led a large portfolio of mobile, online, and interactive TV applications and managed some of the companies’ largest mobile and telecom partnerships.

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Alex Emmermann

Alex joins Clearleap with 19 years of product development experience and is responsible for executing Clearleap’s research and development efforts. Most recently he was the VP of Engineering at Skitter TV where he was responsible for developing an end-to-end IP based Linear TV System that is offered as a service to telephone companies. Alex brings management and product development experience in video, Internet services, telecommunications, electronics, and e-commerce to Clearleap.

Previously, Alex served as General Manager at Cormine Intelligent Data, LLC, Suffolk, Va., where he was responsible for building a web based research system used by research analysts & legal professionals to analyze massive amounts of text. Prior to joining Cormine, Alex spent 13 years at Motorola developing radio technology and later managing software development teams. During his last three years at Motorola, he took an expatriate assignment in Malaysia to help develop the company’s engineering strategy in the region. While in Malaysia, Alex built a team of more than 220 engineers to develop software and provide testing services for Motorola’s global two-way radio business.

Alex has been awarded two U.S. patents related to telephony/radio integration and connected home appliance technology, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.

Jim’s experience at N2 Broadband and Tandberg Television gives him unprecedented insight into the architecture of the world’s most scalable and reliable digital video systems. He designed the core architecture of the high-performance server that was responsible for the real-time management of system resources and on-demand user video sessions.

Jim’s prior experience includes software design and development roles at Raytheon, eSoft, and FundTech, where he built his base of expertise in enterprise billing systems, high-transaction network servers, component-based architecture, and massively scalable database-driven applications. Jim is a University of Florida graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Laney Woolfolk

Senior Director of Marketing

Laney’s prior experiences at both startups and advertising agencies has given her the right combination of know-how as she directs public relations and marketing for Clearleap. Under Laney, Clearleap has been selected as a CableFAXIES finalist for excellence in public relations and marketing for technology, as well as been awarded Leading Lights Awards for best new technology product.
Laney’s prior experiences at both startups and advertising agencies has given her the right combination of know-how as she directs public relations and marketing for Clearleap. Under Laney, Clearleap has been selected as a CableFAXIES finalist for excellence in public relations and marketing for technology, as well as been awarded Leading Lights Awards for best new technology product. In addition, Laney herself has been included on the Multichannel News List of “40 Under 40” for 2013. Laney joins Clearleap after working for Ogilvy & Mather on the Time Warner Cable 360º account. At Ogilvy, Laney managed the digital advertising management system for all their affiliates, as well as their email marketing program. Laney’s prior experience also includes work at tech startups, FTRANS and CRE Loaded, where she learned the ins and outs of marketing and branding for rapidly growing, entrepreneurial companies. 

An avid runner, she has completed ten marathons and over fifty half marathons. Laney graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University where she studied Art History and Human & Organizational Development.
