Amsterdam, Netherlands, October 15 2013- Clearleap, the leading provider of multiscreen video logistics solutions for the television industry, has appointed Jobst Muehlbach as Director, Customer Solutions Architect and Marco Slik as Customer Solutions Architect for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Effective immediately, Muehlbach will assume responsibility for European technical sales processes, working closely with the regional Sales Organization and Product Management teams. Muehlbach brings a wealth of industry knowledge and a strong software engineering background to his new post, with 20 years of experience in digital TV/video engineering, product management and international sales. Prior to joining Clearleap, Muehlbach has held senior positions at several companies such as ARRIS, Motorola, Kabel Deutschland, Thomson and OpenTV. Based in Munich, Germany, Muehlbach will report directly into Preben Schack, VP Sales, EMEA.

“It’s exciting to come on board at a time when the industry is experiencing so much change,” said Jobst Muehlbach. “With a sophisticated, unique approach and its advanced platform, Clearleap offers content owners and Pay-TV operators a truly complete infrastructure for delivering profitable multiscreen services. There is real momentum in the region, and I’m looking forward to engaging with the EMEA team to continue this success through driving effective and innovative sales.”

Slik will assume his new role on 12 November 2013. He joins Clearleap from his previous post at NPO, a Dutch Broadcaster, with an extensive career in broadcast architectural and technical design plus consultancy for systems integrators and managed service providers. Slik previously held a senior position at Technicolor Netherlands (now Ericsson Broadcast Services) where he was responsible for the design of various digital distribution platforms for national and international broadcasters.

“Since its regional launch, Clearleap is incredibly well-positioned in the EMEA market which has enormous growth potential but is also increasingly fragmented and can be difficult to navigate,” said Marco Slik. “Clearleap’s robust technologies instantly stood out to me. The company is clearly recognized as a market leader and has an exciting future that I’m proud to be a part of”.

“As we continue to roll-out our complete multiscreen solutions across Europe, the Middle East & Africa, we’re excited to welcome Jobst and Marco to the growing Clearleap team,” said Braxton Jarratt, CEO, Clearleap. “As a company, we are committed to tackling the hurdles that content owners and service providers are faced with as the shift to TVE and OTT accelerates. Jobst and Marco both possess strong experience, and having worked from both the customer and vendor perspective, they have gained valuable industry insight to help drive our technology forward in Europe.”
