Clearleap Introduces Sports Solution for Multiplatform Delivery

Live online sports video is growing rapidly in popularity, so Clearleap is stepping in to fill a need for multiplatform sports streaming. The IP-based content management and distribution company has created the Clearleap Sports and Live TV Solution, which lets broadcasters ingest live video, create multiple versions, and stream on-demand content only seconds later.
The cloud-based platform is intended for use in the largest sporting events, built with a scalable architecture that can deal with massive spikes in viewership. Clearleap promises 99.999 percent uptime. Broadcasters can use it to offer event highlights and personalized playlists. A web-based dashboard lets customers view the status of their content in real-time, as well as read post-event reports on video logistics.

The Sports and Live TV Solution was created to work with multiple revenue models, including ads, subscriptions, and authentication. Broadcasters can insert ads in live streams, on-demand clips, highlight clips, and playlists.

“For our Sports and Live TV Solution, we’ve fine-tuned our platform via our APIs to match the speeds required for fans to relive moments practically in real-time by leveraging a tremendous level of workflow automation,” says Gregg Brown, director of product at Clearleap. “This events-driven workflow ensures major plays are viewable by fans within seconds of the original action.”
