Amsterdam, Netherlands, 15 January, 2014 – Clearleap, the leading provider of multiscreen video logistics solutions for the television industry, has appointed Mike Grieve as Director of Sales, EMEA, and Ola Bergvall as Program Director, EMEA. Effective immediately, the new hires will support Clearleap as it continues to deliver premium multiscreen solutions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mike brings over 23 years’ experience in broadcast sales and a strong grasp of technology to his new post, and will be responsible for developing strategy and sales tactics across the region. Now based in the UK, Mike has previously worked with a number of companies in the broadcast, film and TV sectors throughout his career. He joins Clearleap from international broadcast systems integrator TSL, where he worked as Worldwide Sales Director. Prior to this, Mike worked as Sales Director of EMEA and South America for Quantel, and Worldwide Sales and Marketing Director for FilmLight Ltd. Mike will report directly to Preben Schack, Vice President of Sales, EMEA.

“Clearleap is a hugely exciting company, its growth in Europe over the last six months has been astounding and I couldn’t be more pleased to be on-board as it continues to bring its cutting-edge solutions to the European market,” said Mike. “Clearleap is enabling the true streaming of premium content across screens, and I look forward to working with the team to make this a reality for more and more companies across EMEA”.

Ola brings an extensive knowledge of the telecommunications and music industries to his new position, and has helped a number of well-established and start-up companies in Europe to develop valued-added services. Ola was previously responsible for the launch of Spotify as an add-on service for TeliaSoneras’s customers in Finland, Denmark and Norway, as well as the launch of mobile TV/VOD services in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. He joins Clearleap from TeliaSonera Group, where he was Global Product Manager for the Mobility Services Division. Ola will be primarily responsible for the implementation of Clearleap’s platforms with customers across EMEA.

“Consumers are increasingly demanding on-the-go television, so it is more important than ever to ensure that content is available wherever the viewer is,” commented Ola. “I am proud to be joining the company at such a dynamic and promising time. We are experiencing real traction in the TV anywhere space and Clearleap owns an excellent offering of solutions which offer tremendous opportunities to the EMEA region”.

“It’s excellent to kick off with a strong start to the New Year by welcoming both Mike and Ola to the ever-growing Clearleap team,” said Braxton Jarratt, CEO, Clearleap. “As we continue to tackle the challenges that content owners and service providers face with delivering premium content services across devices, the knowledge and insight that both Mike and Ola possess will be invaluable to us as we continue to drive activity throughout 2014. Our continued European expansion remains a core strategic initiative for our business, and we are well-positioned for growth within the region – it’s clear that there are some exciting opportunities emerging in the year ahead”.
