John’s track record for delivering enterprise-class digital video systems over more than a decade of massive technology shifts speaks for itself. He co-founded N2 Broadband, where he built the world’s first secure VOD content distribution system, earning the endorsement of Warner Brothers Studios and the rest of the entertainment industry. That system is now the standard for secure digital video content delivery and is used to distribute nearly all VOD content in the US. He then went on to build next-generation VOD management platforms for North America’s largest cable operators, who are now using the system to deliver millions of streams of SD and HD video per day in the largest cities in the US.
Before N2 Broadband, John built the industry’s first widely deployed two-way digital television platform at Scientific-Atlanta (now part of Cisco), where he was manager of the software development organization. That system is the foundation for the today’s most advanced television services and makes up almost half of the cable systems in the US. Through his groundbreaking work over the last 20 years, the systems John built now touch more than 50 million viewers around the world. John received his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Florida State University.
